That Heron Has an Oboe

Published on

When did herons learn to instrument?
I never seen that before,
and it is a bit big for what is essentially a
freshwater coastal bird of roughly
10 inches tall.

(I would know if it were a Goliath Heron,
those flappers get up into the 60 inches
and I would not question one of those
playing an oboe, except to say
‘How did you procure that instrument
when your species is naturally denied
credit at most banks?’
)

Man, this heron is going to town
with those notes, and it sounds a little
like The Musical Box, but
I do not see Peter Gabriel anywhere,
so this little Heron is a fan of Genesis?
Or maybe,
just maybe if you look askew a little,
this is a Hipster Heron.
