A Pome a Day for a Year

Someone told me once,
that Mint was just a weed
that we turned into ice cream
and
I am side eyeing it.

Sure, it could be true,
but I want to stress true,
humans find uses for things in
all manner of mysterious ways!

Like penicillin after leaving old
sandwiches out because you
are too busy doing science.

Or when someone felt an apple
on their head and knew
that orbital bodies pulled inwards.

Lotta accidents leading to science
out there! Maybe a bit of mint did
fall into an ice cream machine
one day?

Probably not though.
Really. Sanitation
is highly important in the processing
of food for public consumption.
