A Pome a Day for a Year

Sometimes I would like contact lenses
and when I wore them, they would
alter my vision in cool ways.

Like, imagine the world as a CRT!
Scanlines across the world
bringing me pleasureful memories
of watching old TV.

Or inversion! All colours opposite
so the world becomes a mess of
psychedelia and tripping.
I would especially like to see eggs.

Or how about cel shading!
I become some kind of cartoony man
but without the benefits of doing
cartoonish things, like falling vast heights.

All this is a way to say,
I should really get my eyes checked.
