I am but fallen,
this floor has claimed me.
I am a carcass,
splayed under bush.
I am despondent,
my fingers brittle,
first instinct to claw my insides out
and allow nature to reclaim my
borrowed potential.
I am silent,
though the pain of flesh rent
stifles my throat, I allow neither
word nor cry to release from
my vacuum.
I am resigned,
this be the path I am set upon
through choice made aware,
through lines spoken true,
through consequences agreed.
I am gone
