A Pome a Day for a Year

I am pretty good at guessing things.
If you want accuracy, then turn to another fellow,
but if you want an answer
roughly in the ballpark of correct,
then look no further.

I dig the subtle art of being
almost right.
Of being close but no cigar.
Of coming up two steps short.

It takes quite a bit of skill
to be vaguely hopping around the vicinity
of one hundred percent.

Ah but then the paradox occurs.
If the goal is being very nearly exaxct,
then am I exactly in the gaol of desire?
