I think I used ‘great aplomb’
in a different poem a while ago,
and Leonard Elmore would not
be happy.
I know the rules.
There are some I proper agree with
and overusing stuff is one.
Rule 5 though, that one I smash
to pieces!
I love an exclamation mark.

You know what is not loved?
When people gnaw on nail
or cuticle or flappy loose skin,
jamming that carpal into
their maws, and munching
like it was some flesh carrot.
Blegh. Bad habit. Wish
