A Pome a Day for a Year

Having a cerebrouhaha right now,
and attempting to decide what shape
makes me feel the most joy.

Triangles are great!
Solid, rigid, strong.
Nothing beats a triangle
if you want a shape to go the distance.
Points and prongs and plentiful power.

Circles are the sweetest!
Neverending, never wavering,
Taking you around to see it all
as much as you want.
Infinite patience.

Hexagons are homely.
Bees live there, and therefore
maximum space adherence
in service of the furry jumpers.
Bears hate this one weird trick.

Rhombus, or if you have multiple
do we call them Rhombi?
These guys are always looking to escape.
They are the swiftly boys, neither here,
nor there but wishing to be a part of some
other geometric structure.

People always forget about the Nonagon,
Natures hidden shape,
unless you take a summer night stroll
through Palmanova and witness the puzzling
yet pleasing layout of such a town.
