A Pome a Day for a Year

And so, we are waving
like passengers aboard a yacht,
at the 2024th year according
to our agreed upon Western calendars.
2024 has come and gone
and we remain,
ever ready to soldier forward into
2025.

That is literally a quarter of the 21st century
holy moly,
I have been alive for how long?!
These numbers are making me crumble,
I cannot believe I am hitting up 43
in eleven months.

However, where else will I be?
I will have finished a pome a day,
that task will have slotted
into the finished zone,
along with a load of video games
if all goes well!

Games and films and books and music,
I aim to experience more than before,
to enjoy more than ever,
to be one with the entertainment!
