Some kind of Scoring System

I find scoring systems tough to adequately judge things.  A 75% means that whatever it is does three-quarters of something correctly.  What are those three quarters?  Could I come up with a score that might be much more adept at explaining my own processes?

Should I even have a score considering I review games long after the fact and most of my reviews are rambling? Not to mention I am incredibly forgiving and my standards are low.

Well, I decided against going with numbers!  Instead, we have one of four words.

  • Vexing: a struggle or frustration in places.
  • Generic: a standard game with highs and lows.
  • Valued: a very good game that was very much worth the time I spent.
  • Great: part of the pantheon of games that must be played.

These words, coupled with my silly quick rating should summarise where I think a game falls on the spectrum.  Reviews are exceptionally subjective and a defined number seems to me to be too restrictive but four simple words, oh, there is the leeway!
