Propped Up Next to the Wall

I could be a mime, or a busker,
someone who stands next to buildings
and provides the public with joyful
entertainment.

Really,
it would be neat to be a clown
or a comic that others days
might brighten with every action
or word I conjure.

I do, kinda, work toward this
in my time of free. My trio of
appointments, where I open up
to the world and unleash the
joy I keep contained.

We laugh and joke and tease
and win and on cloud 9 we reside,
this meeting of friends and
bystanders who gather to blot the
pain.

I cradle it, that feeling of
success. Though my fear of failure
often rears, we quash it and I soar.
I fly towards my stars, reflection
in these digital smiles.
