A Pome a Day for a Year

The carpet under my feet is broke
and all jutted up and getting
caught on my chair wheels
and I move about, back and forth,
a ton, so when I return,
my chair hits the bump and
I lurch like I am
some kind of crash test dummy!

How do you fix carpet that
is all jutted up when I am not
a floorsmith or know such a
tradesman! I am a boring
computerman, who can move a mouse
and press a button, but oh no,
now because I returned to my desk
via wheeling spokes,
I have bumped into carpet wall
and smacked a load
of the wrong buttons
and my email looks like a battlefield.
