glinting amber
white hot streaks illuminating periphery.

Time is like a carcass being picked at
by the minutes of force patience,
as feet lift and drop in staggered unison.

A third of waking zombified,
automatically hollowed into
a blasé oblivion,
as likewise motions cyclically repeat until

stop.
