Why did the men walk into the bar?
Because they were contemplating the finality
of the long arduous work day
and so closing their eyes,
even for a moment, separated the period
of time being a mere cog
in a brutal machine that cares not one jot
for the aspirations of consciousness,
to the period of flittering freedom
where your choices are your own,
and they did not see the door. Ouch!

Why did the chicken cross the road?
Unfortunately due to the ever increasing
expansion of humanity at the cost
of nature and sustenance, we are removing
such things as forests and fields from
our delicate ecosystem and paving the way
for climate change to annihilate life,
and thus, everywhere is basically a road.
The chicken cannot move for roads!

What is brown and sticky?
Sadly due to the lax regulatory enforcement
of our woefully inept, destructive government,
companies are free to pollute our streams
and rivers, bringers of life for not only
us but all glorious animals,
rendering the water no more than
gross faecal ridden sludge.
