Kurayamino

Tendrils crawl over my shoulders,
itching, scratching, delving,
burrowing into my flesh and bone,
pulling my neck backwards,
vice like control over extremities
I believed defended.

It permeates all over my body,
seeping through pores into marrow
and blood alike, until we are
merged, an amalgamation of shade
and I, operating against acceptable
parameters.

Resistance, a futile endeavour,
powers my frame but the watts lack
the surge needed. The dimmed ebbing
light of my battery a blinkered
thing, it pulses to no eye.
