A Pome a Day for a Year

…to make a long adventure,
the length of which is determined
by the kind of escapade!

Going to find a long lost twin,
separated at birth by an unfortunate
boating accident (the sinking
of the Titanic is the prima facie)
probably take a few weeks
which is multiples of days.

Going to get some groceries
(shaving cream, podded peas,
pencils) is a few hours and
would only become a day
should a second, more explosive,
adventure do a crossfade
onto the journey.

Life, though, is secretly
the longest day and because
days are a purely human
construct (I suppose so is the nature
of time) that a day lasts as long
as you want, from birth to death
the greatest adventure!
