Invisible Wish

Hidden in plain sight I am a spectre,
ghostly figure as transparent as glass
while all gazes pass over me, like water
over cobbled stones, smoothed through
years at the bottom of the river.
Weaving between the crowds as living
liquid, I am the ultimate impostor.
A thing wearing a human skin,
blending into teems of life as
unassuming as dirt in fields.
I am around and I am nothing,
listen close to those howls
of wind and you might hear my
voice.
