A Pome a Day for a Year

My desk is a mountain of category six,
no data is passing through these plastic trails
to any sort of peak throughput.

They are piled up like snow heaps,
ends on top of ends,
making a spire of see through wiring.

Not even sure what I will be using these for.
Most everything has been cabled up already,
patch panels patched and desktops plugged.

Are these leftovers, from some kind of
cisco thanksgiving? There sure are a lot
by the side of my device.

Maybe I could turn them into a waterless slide
theme park for ants. Zipping up and down
these snakey lines all day long.
