A Pome a Day for a Year

You literally cannot.
A second is a unit of time, itself
intangible and more of a concept
we use to figure out why celestial bodies
go through changes, much like ourselves.

Time is not something I can just
prop myself up against,
or use a foothold or grapple point
along the side of Temporal Mountain
or put my Clock Coat on
when I enter the WatchHouse.

If I could hang on a second,
what would be the point?
It is so small an amount,
like jumping in the air and flying
for the smallest fraction of a moment,
that I would not actually do anything.

Now stopping time, to really appreciate
this second I am holding on to,
this would be worth it!
Which second to permanently lodge
in the halls of infinity?

The greatest time related question
I can conceive of,
except the one about when is my dentist appointment.
They all happen at Two Thirty.
