The sunlight is bouncing into my eyes
but that is OK, because I love the beams
that pour warmth and life
over flower and soul alike.
Even though nighttime has been
my preferred state of being,
I can appreciate a good sunny day,
where cares are placed in a box
and sealed for the length
of time it takes for cloud
to arrive in sky!
Sometimes days,
oft times hours, but
that journey of boxes is worth
it, no matter the time
spent opening and closing
the container.
