A Pome a Day for a Year

Walking by LVG at home
and she makes a little noise,
and it makes me laugh
and I repeat, and I repeat, and I repeat, and I
realise the earworm has got me
but no songs or tunes,
random noises thwack my insides
boosting the echolalia
like quad damage in Quake
and I parrot, and parrot, and parrot, and I
probably cannot hear anything else,
because I am fixated on that noise,
and was it a burp?
or was it a pang?
or was it a cough?
or was it a sneeze?
and I perform, and I perform, and I perform, and I
purposefully copy the noises
making me smile,
