Dub Choc Mochs

Really need to oil or replace that door.
It opens with the speed of a sloth,
shuts with the force of a clam,
loud as broken promise.

First things first, the kettle pops on
and I am wiping yesterdays shift from
my bobbled rippled cup. Weird pattern,
but hey, the orange colour calms me.

Rumble bumble from the kettle
as it dances and pops, shuffling
along the top of the microwave.

Which coffee to start the day?
You got the regular chino, fluffy and floaty.
The mint aero, every swig breathtaking.
Caramel latte, which I am never late for!

Then we got the double chocolate mocha
and hoo-boy, does that coffee hit a spot
I learned about in April. (This was when
I started my new role and began to have coffee.)

True dubs for the choc mochs,
saviour of many a morning.
Steaming my body and brain into
a working automaton for the day ahead.
