Trying to be clever with your titles,
I see, but you and I both know
that we can only stretch these
smartnesses out for so long before
we have to bring out the big guns,
subtext and alliteration and leitmotifs
all those proper poem practices
that seem lost on these pomes
because you just have to mess about
and never take any of this seriously!

There is a goal involved, obviously,
and it shall shine in 369 days,
which, yes, I know, nice,
but please focus, for you have
a year and four days to really
do it, to really make something
of it all, the schedule is sanded
and the drive is locked in,
