that corner needs a gentle hand
guiding carefully this freight truck,
full to the brim of things
inconsequential, but nevertheless
a duty of care to be upheld
in the chaperoning.

If you rush, if you speed,
you are going over,
that drop is taking you both
and from the height we observe,
you are not coming back from it,
and I gotta say, you know the reaction.

Just be cautious, timely, apprehensive,
for the corner has an end,
and the ravine will be behind,
naught but a spot in a mirror
getting smaller as you make
your way to whatever goal
you settle upon.
